Hi! My name's Cecile Cinco but you can call me C5, for short. This blog now exists because I would like to share what I have done with my hands, either by giving away my own patterns and finished products, or selling them. It takes a lot of time and effort and those two aspects alone are precious. When I give something away, though, it will be from the bottom of my heart.
Selling what I have done is my way of sustaining my addiction, at the same time make something available to you that you might only find here. I love creating but I also get bored easily so I tend to do different things at the same time. Many times I do not use a pattern (spontaneous crafting) so if I sell them, you get one of a kind.
Lately, though, I've taken into consideration the possibility of people wanting the same thing so I make a mental note of how I do it in the hope to create a pattern.
For the past 3 years, I've been drawn to yarn so I do knitting, crocheting (and variations of it), tatting and weaving.
If I buy my own yarn, I can only buy a handful. I just don't have the budget for it. I'm so blessed and very thankful and glad that a very special friend sustains my addiction. :) <3 <3 <3 That is another reason for creating this blog, which is also going to be my storefront, so I can also somehow buy more yarn. You can say that I'm in the category of yarn lovers that say there can never be enough. You can be sure that all will be put to good use and be a creation.
For the last couple of months I was tasked to teach a group of women how to knit. It was fun and a learning experience as well. With that in mind, I might also add some tutorials here, especially for those who are inclined to learn in pictures (instead of videos).
Before you go, please LIKE my Facebook page, C5 Handmade Special Gifts - Philippines. It would be much appreciated if you share it to your friends as well. That is where I will more likely announce my giveaways.
By the way, many of my products may have one or two Philippine 5-centavo coins. We call that "singko" in Tagalog, which is "cinco" in Spanish, which means "five" in English. (That is why my nickname is also C5.) For more than a decade now, I've made use of it to identify my creation and to shout out that it is Philippine-made. I'm also thankful to my talented better half who came up with my logo.
Until next post.
