Incorporating the Bar Code System to Hide a Message yet Display a Design

Even before I got hooked to crocheting and knitting, I've had my own share of love for codes. In fact, I've developed some back in my younger years. Solving cryptograms became one of my past times. I still do solve them from time to time but I've come to spend more time with my craft than solve the puzzles.

A few months ago I thought of incorporating the bar code system to my handicrafts through knitting and/or crocheting. I thought it was a cool way to state a message without having to make it obvious.

I started with a Bar Code Scarf with the message Agape. I gave this to someone special. Someone who's got agape in him.

Then I made a Bar Code Hat with the message Joy.
I use it. It reminds me that I should have joy every single day.

Then today I just finished designing the Bar Code Choker with the message Grace. It can be any other name as long as there are maximum of 5 letters to fit the neck.

"Grace"

I am also thinking of belts and straps, bracelets and anklets.  Scarves with a message like "Marry Me" or "Only You" are unique proposal gifts for her. "I'm Your" can very well be a response to his proposal.

I'll be taking orders soon. :) Let me know what interests you by commenting below.
