The first time I spontaneously crocheted this bracelet, it was slightly different. As I have improved on its supposed "lock" and made myself aware of the count, I thought I better make the pattern, for your enjoyment.
You are free to use the pattern but please do not copy to another site. Instead, please link to this post for reference. If you choose to sell the bracelets you have made out of this pattern, you are free to do so.
Materials:
- crochet thread (mercerized cotton)
- 2 coins or washers
- 10 beads
Tools:
- 1.6mm crochet hook
- tapestry needle

Incorporating the Bar Code System to Hide a Message yet Display a Design
Even before I got hooked to crocheting and knitting, I've had my own share of love for codes. In fact, I've developed some back in my younger years. Solving cryptograms became one of my past times. I still do solve them from time to time but I've come to spend more time with my craft than solve the puzzles.
A few months ago I thought of incorporating the bar code system to my handicrafts through knitting and/or crocheting. I thought it was a cool way to state a message without having to make it obvious.
I started with a Bar Code Scarf with the message Agape. I gave this to someone special. Someone who's got agape in him.
Then I made a Bar Code Hat with the message Joy.

Multipurpose Crocheted Hand/Foot/Neck Accessory (Free Pattern)
I started this with the hand in mind, then I realized it also fits the foot like a barefoot sandal. Then I wore it around the neck and it fits just fine, thanks to the long strand that serves as the lock.
